Violência Contra a Mulher: Onde Começa e Quando Termina?

Resumo

Este estudo qualitativo objetivou compreender o impacto da violência na perspectiva de mulheres que
sofreram agressão. Participaram do estudo quatro mulheres, de 50 a 55 anos, que sofreram agressões
do ex-companheiro e foram atendidas em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial da Região Metropolitana
de Porto Alegre/RS. A produção dos dados se deu por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, sendo a
análise realizada por meio da análise de conteúdo. Os resultados são discutidos e apresentados a partir
de três categorias: “A dinâmica da violência contra a mulher em suas múltiplas faces”, “Rede de apoio
e busca por ajuda” e “A violência e seu impacto na vida das mulheres”. Conclui-se que apesar dos
avanços legais alcançados, ainda há muito o que se discutir sobre o atendimento e a proteção efetiva
das vítimas. Além disso, há necessidade de intervenções anteriores à instauração da violência,
buscando o entendimento desse fenômeno como social e não individual.

This qualitative study aimed to understand the impact of violence from the perspective of women who
have suffered aggression. Four women, aged 50 to 55 years old, who have suffered violence from their
ex-partners and have been treated at a Psychosocial Care Center in the Metropolitan Region of Porto
Alegre / RS, participated in the study. The production of the data took place through semi-structured
interviews, which data analysis took place through content analysis. The results were discussed and
presented from three categories: "The dynamics of violence against women in its multiple facets",
"Support network and search for help" and "Violence and its impact on women's lives." The conclusion
is that, despite the legal advances achieved, there is still much to be discussed about the care and
adequate protection of victims. Besides, there is a need for interventions before violence occurs, seeking
to understand this phenomenon as social and not individual.
